Connect MT4 to Analytics: Compare Data Routes and Requirements

To connect MT4 to an external reporting service, first establish which data route it actually offers: a server-side investor connection, a supported statement import or a documented terminal-based exporter. These have different dependencies. Read-only permissions and data completeness must be checked separately.

The official MT4 authorisation guide allows analysis and work with local programs in investor mode while prohibiting trading. It is therefore incorrect to assume that every program-based reporting route necessarily requires master trading access. Inspect the particular implementation.

The route currently offered by MyVeridex

MyVeridex currently offers MT4 and MT5 connections through a server-side bridge using a read-only investor password. Its form uses platform, broker/server, trading account number and investor credential. The offered route does not require downloading an exporter to your local terminal.

This does not guarantee universal broker/server compatibility, zero service interruptions or a fixed refresh cadence. Confirm the exact account/server and inspect the actual update status. cTrader, DXtrade, Match-Trader and TradeLocker connections are not currently offered.

MyVeridex also imports supported MT4/MT5 closed-trade statements in HTML, XLSX and CSV. A shared file extension does not establish that another platform's export is compatible.

Prepare credentials through the account provider

Use the intended MT4 account's current investor credential and exact server. The setup guide describes the documented password-change controls. Set and confirm the credential required by the dialog; do not leave the new-password fields blank expecting an automatically generated investor login.

Supply credentials only through the official intended connection controls after reviewing the recipient and its data handling. Do not send a master password to an analytics service or publish a credential with a performance report.

Accept the data route only after checking its output

Confirm account identity, provider, currency and demo/evaluation/other environment.
Record the dates and transaction types actually received, including missing intervals.
Reconcile available identifiers, whole-period totals, fees and non-trading movements.
Distinguish balance reconstruction from observed equity and record the observation frequency.
Inspect connection errors and the actual last update rather than assuming that connected means current.

The connection-output checklist gives these controls a separate review focus. A current statement import reconstructs balance history from closes, not the complete intratrade equity path. Do not treat it as a certificate for every daily loss condition.

An external report organises its underlying records. It does not make them independently audited or immutable, prove a measured advantage over another route, or guarantee a trading, evaluation or funding result.
