Forex Economic Calendar
Scheduled high-impact economic releases for the next 14 days, across USD, EUR, GBP, JPY, AUD, CAD, NZD, CHF and CNY. Every time on this page is UTC, so you can plan a trading day without converting from a broker server clock.
What the calendar shows
Upcoming releases are grouped by day, with the nearest day first. Each row carries the release time in UTC, the currency it affects, the name of the release, and an impact tier. Two filters sit above the list, one for currency and one for impact, so a fortnight of releases can be cut down to only the high-impact USD prints, or only what touches the yen.
No account is needed to read it. The dates are generated from each release’s usual recurring pattern, the first-Friday jobs report and the roughly six-weekly central bank cycles, rather than pulled from an official feed. Treat them as the expected slot and confirm an exact date with the issuing agency before you trade it. The list is recalculated on request and cached for an hour.
The releases that move forex most
Each of the ten below has its own page covering the release schedule, what the number actually measures, which pairs react, and the questions traders ask about it.
- Non-Farm Payrolls (NFP): first Friday of the month, 13:30 UTC, from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics.
- FOMC and the Fed rate decision: eight meetings a year, statement at 19:00 UTC, press conference 30 minutes later.
- US CPI: monthly, usually the second or third Wednesday at 13:30 UTC, headline and core together.
- ECB rate decision: roughly every six weeks, decision at 13:15 UTC, press conference at 13:45 UTC.
- Bank of England: eight meetings a year, rate, minutes and the MPC vote split all released at 12:00 UTC.
- Bank of Japan: eight meetings a year, statement between 03:00 and 06:00 UTC, then the Governor's press conference.
- Reserve Bank of Australia: cash rate decision at 04:30 UTC.
- US GDP: quarterly, three estimates per quarter at 13:30 UTC, with the Advance estimate the market mover.
- US Unemployment Rate: first Friday at 13:30 UTC, released alongside NFP and average hourly earnings.
- US Retail Sales: monthly at 13:30 UTC, with the control group alongside.
Reading the impact tiers
High impact marks the releases that routinely move a currency on the announcement itself: rate decisions, inflation prints, jobs data, GDP. Medium impact covers releases that shape the medium-term picture but rarely spike a chart on their own, such as weekly jobless claims, sentiment surveys and secondary PMIs.
Know what news days do to your numbers
Knowing a release is coming is the easy half. The harder question is what your own news-day trades have actually done to your edge. MyVeridex connects to an MT4 or MT5 account with the investor password, which is read-only by design: it can see trades, balance and equity, but cannot place, modify or close an order. Once your history is in, you can see how volatility and spreads around these events show up in your results. Worth knowing before you hold a position into a print: spreads widen on most pairs either side of a high-impact release, and many prop firms restrict trading through scheduled news, so check your own firm’s rules first.
Also free to use without an account: the pip, position size and prop firm calculators, and the directory of supported MT4 and MT5 brokers.
