Free Trading Tools

Pip values, position sizing and prop firm comparisons. The calculators professional traders use, free and without a login.

Three calculators, no signup

Every tool below is free and open to anyone. There is no account to create, no email to hand over and no usage cap. Each one runs on its own page, with an explainer underneath, and the two that are pure arithmetic show the formula so you can check the maths rather than take a number on trust.

Pip Calculator

Works out pip value, profit or loss on a trade, and what your broker's spread actually costs you. It covers 28+ instruments across forex majors and crosses, metals such as XAUUSD and XAGUSD, and indices including US30, US500, NAS100, GER40, UK100 and JPN225, so yen-pair, gold and index pip sizes are handled for you instead of guessed.

Position Size Calculator

Enter your account balance, the percentage of it you are prepared to risk and your stop loss distance in pips. It returns the lot size that makes a loss at your stop equal to exactly that risk: account balance times risk percent, divided by stop in pips times pip value per lot. Useful whenever a drawdown rule, your own or a prop firm's, decides how big you are allowed to be wrong.

Prop Firm Calculator

Puts challenge fees, maximum drawdown, daily loss limits and payout splits for FTMO, FundedNext, TopStep, E8 Funding, The5ers and FXify side by side, so you can compare rulesets against the way you actually trade before paying for an evaluation.

Why these three

Pip value, risk per trade and funding rules are the numbers a trading plan is built on, and they are the ones most often estimated in a hurry. Pip value changes with the instrument, the lot size and your account currency. Position size changes every time your stop moves. Prop firm rules differ enough between firms that a strategy which fits one breaches another. Each calculator answers one of those questions properly for a single trade or a single account.

The same maths across your whole account

A calculator handles one trade at a time. MyVeridex applies the same pip, risk and funding maths to every trade you have already taken: connect an MT4 or MT5 account with a read-only investor password and your history is logged automatically, with nothing to install on your trading platform and no ability for us to place or close a trade. MyVeridex itself starts with a free trial.

Also free and open: our directory of supported MT4 and MT5 brokers, a forex economic calendar with the releases that move the majors, and feature-by-feature comparisons of MyVeridex against MyFxBook, Tradezella, Tradervue and FX Blue.
