Windows Trading Journal: Web Access, Reports and Record Checks
A Windows trading journal should help you compare your notes with the original account records. Establish the access route, reporting period and source first. Installing an application or displaying a verification label does not prove that the journal contains the full history or enforces a prop firm's rules.
Distinguish a desktop program from a web app
MyVeridex is accessed through its website. That browser workflow is separate from a Windows trading-terminal installation. Do not infer that a service is a native Windows package, or that a terminal must stay open, simply because both are described as trading software.
If you prefer a separate window, Microsoft's Edge app instructions describe Settings and more → More tools → Apps → Install this site as an app. Use the available controls in your Edge version, then reopen the site and check the account and sign-in state. Edge's app controls also provide a way to manage the installed site.
A website installed through the browser remains a web access route. It does not add guaranteed offline journaling, immediate broker updates or a separate Microsoft Store listing.
Prepare a source-and-notes workspace
- Choose the account, currency and reporting period before opening comparisons.
- Keep the original provider statement or platform export unchanged.
- Use a separate working file for calculations or annotations.
- Open the journal alongside the relevant source and record the timezone and history boundaries.
- Keep a short list of unmatched records and other unresolved differences.
The original file and your explanation serve different purposes. An edited spreadsheet is a working record, not a replacement for the source. A CSV extension alone does not establish that another product's importer understands the schema or cost convention.
Record decisions with source references
The current Journal form has notes, emotion, tags and a strategy selection. Write the plan, action and relevant account or transaction reference into the note. Review the source records separately rather than treating a recent-trade selection as the complete ledger or a permanent transaction-level link.
Save a short, non-sensitive entry while online, reload and find it again. If you alternate between Windows and a phone, check the same entry in the same account on both. A note appearing immediately in the current page does not establish server persistence or later offline synchronization.
Check account support and metric scope
MyVeridex currently offers MT4 and MT5 investor-password connections. cTrader, DXTrade, Match-Trader and TradeLocker are not currently offered connectors. Check the exact broker server, account, available period and last successful update; a broker-directory listing does not prove universal compatibility.

Review decisions without promising results
Compare your original notes with the selected period, including losing trades and exceptions. A recurring tag can identify a question worth reviewing; it does not prove a causal improvement in win rate or justify increasing risk.
A journal and a MyVeridex account badge are not an independent audit, continuous compliance monitor or guarantee of funding. Ask a recipient for its current report requirements and disclose limitations alongside the recorded results.
